Description of WOOD BRIQUETTES:
Wood briquettes are compressed blocks of coal dust or other combustible biomass material such as charcoal, sawdust, wood chips, peat, or paper used for fuel and kindling to start a fire. The term derives from the French word brique meaning brick.
Wood briquettes are a biofuel substitute for coal and charcoal. Wood Briquettes are primarily used in the developing world, where cooking fuels are not as easily available. There has been a move to use wood briquettes in the developed world, where they are used to heat industrial boilers to produce electricity from steam. The briquettes are cofired with coal in order to create the heat supplied to the boiler.
Prices do not include delivery.
Briquettes have been specially pressed for heating. It is biosecure and burns well in stoves.
• Spruce and Pine softwood as raw material
• Moisture content <13%
• Energy content 4,7 kWh / kg
• Resistant plastic bags
Briquettes are one of the most nature-friendly biofuels, produced from the leftovers of the timber industry. Briquettes consist of sawdust pressed into bricks. No additives are added during the production process as sawdust is glued together by natural adhesive lignin that is present in the wood. Wooden briquette has a very low moisture content, high density, and energy value.
Briquettes are available in the following packaging:
• 12 briquettes in plastic bag, dimensions 370 x 150 x 190 mm, total 10 kg
• 96 bags on a pallet, altogether 960 kg
• 1 pallet size: 1200 x 800 x 1440 mm

How do I know if my bags of briquettes are of superior quality?
When you buy briquettes, look for options that are made from 100% wood. Ensure that your briquettes don’t include any contaminants, like paint, creosote, or glue, which could affect how they burn and the fumes they give off. Choose briquettes that have a low water content (under 20% is preferable), and which are well compacted – if they aren’t hard enough, they will burn more quickly and work out more expensive in the long run. Hardwood briquettes are generally considered the best, as their density means that they burn for longer than softwoods.
Where can I use wood briquettes?
Wood briquettes are very versatile, both for business and home use. Approximately 25cm (10 inches) in length our briquettes are recommended for use in log boilers, open fires, and wood-burning stoves alike. Use them in the same way as logs: start the fire with kindling, and firelighters then add the briquettes when the fire has built up. They can either be mixed with logs or burned by themselves.
